The Nepalese Doctors Association (UK) is an organisation comprised of medical doctors who are dedicated to supporting medical education and health improvement projects for the Nepalese community in the UK and Nepal.
Background
The first General Body Meeting of the NDA (UK) was held 13th April 1985 and was used to approve the draft constitution and elect an executive committee under the Chairmanship of Dr Prem Bikram Hamal. The inauguration ceremony of the NDA UK took place August 1985 in Westminster Cathedral Conference Centre, presided over by His Excellency Iswari Prasad Pandey who was the Nepalese Ambassador to the UK at the time.
NDA (UK) activities
Holding the 3 day NDA UK Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year on the last weekend in July.
Organising at least one HEalth Awareness and AdviceProgram (HEAP) in different parts of the UK in support of isolated Nepalese speaking communities.
Organising at least one charity dinner each year to raise funds for charitable works.
Supporting local communities in the event of natural disasters in Nepal

Donations to establish COVID-19 dedicated hospital in Kathmandu (Completed, Operational) (10000 GBP)
birthing equipment to a health posts in Dhading and Janakpur worth approximately 4000 GBP.
£2,425 for scholarships for training of midwifes in eastern Nepal.
£13,500 for an Ambulance Service in Taplejung.
£ 2,160 towards dementia care in Nepal
