39th NDAUK Annual General Meeting 2024 Welcome Message

Dear Esteemed Guests,

On behalf of the Nepalese Doctors Association UK, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 39th Annual General Meeting, held this year at the splendid DoubleTree by Hilton located in the heart of the scenic Kentish town of Dartford. As your chair of the organizing committee, as well as trustee, treasurer, and administrator for our esteemed association, I am truly delighted to see such an impressive gathering of our community members.

Our three-day weekend event, running from Friday, 26th July to Sunday, 28th July 2024, promises to be a memorable blend of entertainment, intellectual enrichment, and inspiring discussions. We have meticulously curated a program that reflects our commitment to professional excellence, camaraderie, and community service.

The festivities will commence on Friday evening with a vibrant entertainment night, setting the perfect tone for the weekend ahead. Saturday morning will usher in a series of groundbreaking scientific sessions centered around the theme of Women’s Health. This includes our first-ever plenary lectures, named in honor of our founding chairmen, covering various aspects of this critical topic. Alongside the scientific sessions, we will host parallel events including Meditation and Mindfulness workshops, an interactive session on Nepalese cuisine, and a self-defense class. These activities aim to enrich our minds, bodies, and spirits.

Following the scientific abstract presentations, we will hold our Annual General Meeting for members, providing a platform for important discussions and decisions.

Saturday evening will be a grand affair with our Black-Tie Gala Dinner. Expect an evening of elegance and enjoyment, featuring exquisite dining, engaging entertainment, exciting raffles, an auction, and a lively disco that will keep us dancing into the night.

Sunday morning will start on a refreshing note with a 3K walk along the scenic Cotton Lake and Thames River, a perfect way to invigorate our bodies and minds. This will be followed by inspirational and brainstorming sessions focused on our various charity projects. Our program will conclude with a relaxing lakeside lunch at the Wharf Pub, renowned for its local artisan cuisine crafted from the freshest Kentish ingredients.

We are grateful for your presence and participation, which are integral to the success of this event. Together, let us celebrate our achievements, foster new ideas, and strengthen the bonds that unite us as a community.
